So, what is a neurologist? If you Google the word NEUROLOGIST, the following definition appears: “A neurologist is a doctor who concentrates (specializes) in treating diseases of the nervous system. The nervous system comprises the central and peripheral nervous systems. This complex system involves the spinal cord and the brain.” related search

If you Google a free online medical dictionary you will get the following definitions: (a) “a doctor who specializes in disorders of the brain and nervous system.” (b) “a physician who specializes in the nervous system and its disorders.” (c) “a doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating nonsurgical diseases of the brain and nervous system that is board certified/ eligible in neurology.”

So, what about chiropractors go back to school for 2-3 years completing a very intensive Diplomate course in chiropractic neurology? They complete over 300 hours in chiropractic neurology in a program that is extremely comprehensive in the most contemporary and current diagnostic ad Neurorehabilitative (non-pharmaceutical) protocols.

What is a  Chiropractic Functional Neurologist?

They received extensive contemporary diagnostic and therapeutic training in order to give their patients the best care. These doctors are termed “chiropractic (functional) neurologist.” When they complete over 300 hours in chiropractic neurology, they are called “board eligible chiropractic (functional) neurologist.” At that time they can choose to take a very extensive and expensive certification test and become “board certified chiropractic (functional) neurologist.”

I personally have completed such a course in neurology. Over the past 20 years of incorporating what I have learned into my practice, I can honestly say my patients are greatly improved and their well-being and body function from a neurological perspective.
